Well, we are off to Colorado, a few days earlier than we had planned to go. Our original plans were to fly up on Monday, go to the Mycosis Fungoides Clinic on Tuesday and then fly home on Wednesday. But we received word that Becky's step-mom passed away and her funeral is on Saturday. So Amy and Zach want to go (this is the only grandmother Jody and Amy have ever known on Becky's side), so we are going to ride up with them on Friday, they will drive home on Sunday, we will ride with John and Ellen back to Greeley, go see the doctor on Tuesday and fly home Wednesday. That almost confuses me and I just wrote it!
Anyway, we will see this doctor who is one of the best and see what she thinks. Becky's insurance wanted her to go see a guy who is treating one patient instead of a clinic that treats only this, and of course it will not pay for her to go to the MF Clinic. It doesn't make any sense to me, but then again what do I know? I seem to approach things with common sense.

Because this is a rare disease, you may be able to to get your insurance to pay for this consult. Ask them for a review. They almost always turn you down the first time because they haven't dealt with this before. Keep working up the ladder...this is one time to be proactive.
